*UPDATE* The Near Witch Comes Out In ONE MONTH! Giveaway

ONEMONTHONEMONTHONEMONTH! Can you believe that THE NEAR WITCH comes out just one month from today!? Because I can't.

For those interested, here is the embarrassing rap video, pulled together by us excited and easily coerced Book Pimps. Like I said last month: Watch it. Laugh. Giggle. Snort. Giggle-snort. Then enter the giveaway. Get ready to buy the book. And tell Victoria you bow down at her feet. She can easily be reached via Twitter :)

For the giveaway: Disney*Hyperion and Victoria are kindly offering up another SIGNED, finished copy of THE NEAR WITCH for one lucky winner. I'm also throwing in these books (finished copies and ARCs):

Rules:
Normal Contest Policy applies
Only one entry per person
Open to US only

*UPDATE*
Giveaway will be ending slightly earlier on July 10th

Disney*Hyperion is sponsoring the giveaway for THE NEAR WITCH because they are made of awesomesauce. I'm just hosting it
To enter: Leave a comment with your favorite fairytale and why. It can be new or old, original or a retelling. I'm preparing to add some books to my list, so I'm very excited to see your answers. Make sure you either leave a way to contact you or you have some contact info in your profile.

*If you've already won a copy, you're not eligible to win again. Sorry, but we're spreading the Near Witch love here, not hoarding it.

I love it when you spread the word, so if you happen to tweet, I'd be eternally grateful if you used the hashtag: #NWgiveaway

Good luck to everyone who enters!

Visit these people for more chances to win The Near Witch and/or goodies:

And make sure you visit V!

**We are collecting addresses and books will be mailed out much closer to the August 2nd release date, as finished copies are still unavailable. There will be a wait, but it will be worth it. Promise.

I adore Ella Enchanted, probably the best retelling of Cinderella out there! It just has everything to make a fairytale work - a cool rebellious heroine, a whole slew of fantasy creatures, and a happily-ever-after~

I'm a big fan of Cinderella stories, but my favorite is Ella Enchanted as well. I loved it so much when I was younger that it fell apart and I had to buy a new copy.

I would have to go with the classic Cinderella, and honestly I can't think of a remake, but I see there is a lot Ella Enchanted's. I'm going to have to get that.

The Little Mermaid's my favorite, not the Disney-fied version where everything ends perfectly, but the original where everything kind of ends terribly but it's sort of beautiful anyway. :) Plus I love how Hans Christian Anderson throws in a little guilt trip for the kids at the end hahah.

I love fairy tales! Original, retellings, movies, themed tv episodes, whatever!

My favorite is The Little Mermaid. It was in high school when I found out the real, original story ending. I was upset. Then I grew to love the original ending because not all fairy tales have happy endings. It's just an emotional piece. Maybe that's why I also love "The Little Match Girl." Sad story :(

My favorite fairytale is Sleeping Beauty. Aurora's misfortune isn't her fault, and her prince actually has to *do* something to save her...and in the Disney version, there's a great song.
