Not Just An In My Mailbox - BEA Recap Part 1 (5/29/11)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is a list of any of the books you may have received in the past week from bookstores, libraries, authors/publishers, trades, etc.

I attempted this all in one go and the video was 30 minutes long. I split it in two, this part being less BEA-centric, the other one being all BEA. That one will go up tomorrow!

For Review:
Cut by Patricia McCormick
Divergent by Veronica Roth
The Gathering by Kelly Armstrong
Plague (Gone, #4) by Michael Grant
Illusions (Wings, #3) by Aprilynne Pike

Bought:
Lies (Gone, #3) by Michael Grant
Something Like Fate SIGNED by Susanne Colasanti (Forgot to add it in vid)

Gifted:
The Folk Keeper by Franny Billingsley (Thanks Mandy!)
Moonglass by Jessi Kirby (Thanks Briana!)
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer (Thanks Adam!)

*Huge thanks goes to Anna from Authors on the Web, Chelsy from Big Honcho Media, Eric from Quirk Books, Mandy from Literary R&R, Adam from Roof Beam Reader, and Briana from The Book Pixie. You are all ah-mazing!

Some excellent books you have there! Cut looks good--I haven't read it yet either. I still need to read Divergent as well. I'v only read Gone--but need to read the rest of the series. I really liked the first one. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children looks SO good. I need to get it just for the awesomeness of the book. Great video!

PS. Love your hat!

Here is my mailbox for the week!

Splendid books this week. BEA sounds amazing and scary, glad to know that's how it is though. I can't believe you haven't read Cut...it was THE Young Adult novel, that and Speak are like must reads ;) I can't wait to see your review for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, it looks like a book you can't read before bed. Can't wait to see your BEA post. Happy Reading!

Those are all awesome books! (I say awesome and amazing too much...you are not alone!) I can't believe you haven't read Kelley Armstrong's books they are so great! She definitely one of the best paranormal YA writers.
I started reading Miss Peregrine last night, and I think I'm going to love it! So far, it's pretty creepy too.
I read Johnathan Safran Foer's non-fiction book, Eating Animals. That's what made me become a vegetarian! He's a great writer. I can't wait to see what you think of ELAIC.

Wow, Nikki! It sounds like BEA was intense but amazing all at the same time. I'm so glad to hear you had fun! You got pretty cool books there. I've heard tons of fantastic things on Divergent. I'm very much looking forward to reading that one. Also, you need to read the Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelly Armstrong! One of my favorite series. EVER! I'm dying to read The Gathering! I will definitely be looking forward to your reviews. Happy reading, Nikki! =D
