Since I've never participated in it before, I'm not sure what to expect, but I'll try to update a few times during the day with what I'm reading, how much I've read, how long, participate in a couple of mini-challenges, etc.
To sign up to be a reader, just check out this post. Others can sign up to be a cheerleader (they ask for at least 1 hour of cheering on participants) and there will be mini-challenges held throughout the day.
I'll be reading from the following list (in no particular order after the first two):
Finish The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie RyanCryer's Cross by Lisa McMann- Losing Faith by Denise Jaden
Freefall by Mindi Scott- Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus
- The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
- Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
- Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Seth Baumgartner's Love Manifesto by Eric Luper- Guardian of the Gate (Prophecy of the Sisters, #2) by Michelle Zink
- Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols

How are you doing so far?
Brandi from Blkosiner’s Book Blog
(Non)traditional Buddhist readathon blessing:
Just as the books fill the shelves,
Pile together on the floor and stack up on the table
So may the joy of the readathon
Flow forth to brighten your day and lift your spirit.
Books already read, books in progress and books yet to be read.
By the power of every word on the page
May your book be delightful,
As scary as Lovecraft’s Cthulhu
Or as sweet as a box of See’s candy.
Let the power of the images evoked by words
Keep you stay awake long through the night
May no obstacle impede
Your day filled with books.
For all of those who are reading today
Who follow in the path of Dewey
May your day be filled with the four blessings
Of fabulous books, tasty snacks, comfy chairs and joy.
One, Two, Three, Four
Get one done and read some more
Five, Six, Seven, Eight
Reading so much, can't see straight
Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve
Pick another up off the shelf!
Happy Reading!
I can't wait to hear what you think of Incarceron.
I'm not so good at clever cheers - just keep on reading, and we'll be here (to keep you motivated - yeah!)
I'm also in the Pacific time zone - sucks to be up at 5 AM on a Saturday, doesn't it? But it's worth it for the Readathon - enjoy your first!
Stopping by to cheer you on! Congrats on participating in your first read-a-thon! Happy reading from Team Metaphor!
1, 2, 3, 4
Hope your book isn’t a bore
5, 6, 7, 8
And your readathon is going great!
You're doing great! Keep it up!
Thanks for all the well-wishes! And the little cheers made my day even better :D
