Character Coincidence

What do these three books have in common?

Not much really, but...

Earlier this month I participated in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon and I set aside a pile of books to choose from. Now, when choosing from that pile, there was really no method, I just grabbed whatever felt right.

The books that felt right just happened to be related to one another in a strange way: The character names

Kendall is the main character in Cryer's Cross - The first book I read
Kendall is a secondary character in Freefall - The second book I read
Seth is the main character in Freefall - Again, the second book I read
Seth is the main character in Seth Baumgartner's Love Manifesto - The final book I read

It was kind of a strange coincidence to read three entirely different books that had characters that were completely different from one another, but share the same names. I probably wouldn't have even picked up on it if I hadn't been reading the books one after another in a days time, but since I was, I noticed.

Weird coincidence, right? Has something like this happened to you with the books you were reading?

Yup, it happens to me all the time in books when I read them back to back. I've gotten Aura, Ethan, Grace, Sam, and right now it's Lena. It's weird.

Adriana - Wow, that's quite the crew of names that keep popping up in your reads. I'll have to pay more attention to the plethora of names the next time I fly through books to see if it happens again.

Joann - Thanks! I find it hard to come up with interesting posts to fill the time between reviews, so I'm happy you liked this one.

Cool post, NikkI! I don't think this has ever happened to me before. But I do love the name Seth, all thanks to Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr hehe. =D
