In My Mailbox - (12/20/09)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It is a list of any of the books you may have received in the past week from bookstores, libraries, authors/publishers, trades, etc.

So I lied about last week being my last IMM until after Christmas...again. I didn't buy too many books this week though, most were contest winnings.

Won:
Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage by Christopher P. Anderson (Not pictured)
Alphas by Lisi Harrison (Not Pictured)
Both from The Lateiner Gang Book Review Spot
Thanks LTGBRS!!!

The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett from Teens Read and Write
Thanks Alyssa, Gregory, and Jake!!

The following are all from The Enchanted Inkpot's First Annual Inkies Giveaway
Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos (signed) by R.L. Lafevers
Theodosia and the Staff of Osiris (signed) by R.L. Lafevers
Theodosia and the Eye of Horus (signed ARC) by R.L. Lafevers
Owl Keeper (signed ARC) by Christine Brodien-Jones - along with an extremely kind note and some fun confetti covering the book
The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson - along with a kind note from Ellen Oh
The Maze Runner by James Dashner - along with a kind note from Lia Keyes
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I also received a $25 gift card to Powell's

I was so excited to win this contest and the above is exactly why. All of the Inkies are extremely kind and I hope everyone heads over to their site to check out their books and such. Thanks Inkies!!

Bought:
This is All: The Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn by Aidan Chambers (This book is massive)
So Yesterday by Scott Westerfield

And to continue with this weekly IMM-post-a-picture-of-my-pets thing that I have going, I'm going to show off 3 of them in this post.

That's Santa, Bella, Jack, and Skittles

Wow! Great books. I need to get The Owl Keeper just because it's an owl ;)

Glad you got the book safely, Nikki. What a great Christmas reading pile you have there! It's good to know that they ended up with someone who truly loves books.

Steph - You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to keep them all there. My dog kept trying to come down the stairs with me. I'm happy the picture turned out so well though.

Jill - I hope you do get to read Owl Keeper. I'm more than a little excited to read it!

Lia - Thanks so much. I was thrilled to have won the contest and I can't wait to get around to reading all of it.
